Kwani? Open Mic moved to a new venue

The Kwani Open mic has seen many spoken word artistes, poets and deep rappers share their pieces to the poetry enthusiasts, and gaining recognition and appreciation for their art.

The Kwani Open Mic has been around for sometime now and it has always gone down at Club Sounds, every first Tuesday of the month. The poetry that is usually showcased at this event is just down right profound.

This new edition of the Kwani Open Mic will have prizes at stake for the two best spoken word artistes. The first prize is Sh. 5000 which will obviously go to the best and most creative poet. The runner up will get a Kwani? Gift Pack.

Kwani Open Mic has now been moved over to the Arfa Lounge, Mama Ngina Street, inside the IMAX Cinema.

The Poetry Slam will be going down tomorrow and every other first Tuesday of every month from 7PM to 9PM with Cindy Ogana as the MC of the night.

Entry to the event is Sh. 200.
