Do you have any plans for Mashujaa day? No? Well I have a plan that is guaranteed to not only make your Mashujaa day, but also the rest of the year! Yes, it’s that good!
On Mashujaa day Kenya’s version of the Amazing Race (just more exciting) is coming to Kenya. It’s dubbed the Motor Hunt. What is a Motor Hunt you ask?
A motor hunt is a fun competition where people team up and drive around using a set of clues that will lead them to the next clue until they get to their destination. Points are awarded for each clue identified and the overall winner is the team that gets the most points. It is a great activity for corporates, families or a group of friends.
The motor hunt will be going down on the 20th of October and the route will be mapped along some of Nairobi’s historical sites/buildings/monuments. It will enable participants get to know the history behind the city. It will be fun, educational and engaging.
The motor hunt will be structured as follows:
a) Clue Section
We provide a sheet with clues. Every clue will lead to the next to keep you on the right route. The teams must be observant as all clues are visible. They could be on billboards, a road, on a gate, a tree.
b) Scavenger section
For extra points we provide a list of items that can be collected along the way so as to boost overall score.
c) Pictorial section
We provide pictures of monuments, items that you will see on your route. There will be a question related and the answer is to be found on the monument or item.
To register, Participants will be requested to:
• Get a team of 4 people (kids allowed as well)
• Get a unique team name
• Register their team via email address to be provided to received a registration form
• Cost is KES 4,000 per car of adults up to 4 adults. Kids at KES 500 each
• Ensure the driver has a valid driving license
• Check tyre pressure, oil etc beforehand
• Please fuel the car
• Come branded if they can (there is a prize for this category)
