Blankets and Wine headed to Kampala!

Life is all about progress.

Sequential and driven, steady and linear or meteoric and inclined. We move from one stage or phase in life to the next and i believe that this is what Muthoni Ndong’a had in mind as she set out to establish one of Nairobi’s premiere events which she dubbed “Blankets and Wine”.

And now she gets to oversee her brain-child move on to it’s next stage of growth. Muthoni the Drummer Queen and her team announced that Blankets and Wine would grace the city of Kampala Uganda for it’s maiden celebration of wine, good music and culture.

I can only imagine how she feels as she watches her idea grow steadily and venture into new markets. Hopefully it won’t stop there as it will expand into the greater East African region to include Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.

The maiden Blankets and Wine will be held on the 29th of July at Seven Trees Kololo and will feature Lilian and the Sundowner, Kidum, Allan Tonix and Qwela. Advance tickets will be going at 35,000 Ugsh and at the gate the going price will be 50,000 Ugsh.

As my swahili teacher would have said, “Hongera! Pongezi!”
