Outrage Over 2012 Insyder CHAT Awards Winners
There has been an overwhelming response to yesterday’s Ghafla! exclusive revealling that the for the first time in CHAT awards history, the event would be broadcast primarily as a television event, and fans would not attend a glitzy red carpet affair, with the chance of seeing their favourite celebrities, on the day of the awards ceremony.
Information came to our newsroom that the ceremony itself took place yesterday afternoon, Thursday 19th April 2012 at the Nyayo National Stadium, and will be broadcast on KTN on Saturday 21st April 2012 from 4.00pm.

Nonetheless, the show did go on true to its spectacular fashion, with a number of celebrity favourites taking home their highly coveted awards.
One thing is for sure, the stunt pulled by the event organizers, including the Insyder Magazine and KTN, is pioneering in the entertainment industry in Kenya. It is not clear yet whether the move to record the event will be a brilliant one: it will all come to the front when the CHAT awards are broadcast on the station.
Even before the broadcast though, there have been a series of disgruntled comments about the choice of winners by a number of fans, displaying their utter disatisfaction on the Insyder Facebook page.
At the top of the list is the massively popular Goteana Show on Ghetto Radio, hosted by Mbusih and Bonoko deh, which missed out on a CHAT award.
