Frenzy As President Magufuli Addresses Uhuru In Dholuo At EAC Heads of State Summit In Arusha (Video)

Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli demonstrated his command of Luo language when he addressed his Kenyan counterpart.

The 17th Ordinary EAC Heads of State Summit ended days ago in Arusha, Tanzania where South Sudan was admitted to the East African bloc.

Host President John Magufuli caused a stir when he decided to address President Uhuru Kenyatta in Dholuo.

Magufuli said Uhuru’s native Kikuyu language was difficult for him to speak so he decided to greet him in Dholuo which he’s conversant with.

The Tanzanian president first addressed Kenyans in Dholuo in Bondo during the burial of Fidel Odinga while he was still the Minister of Works in Kikwete’s government.
