Height Of Mediocrity: Uproar As Maara South MP Holds A Ceremony To Launch An Electric Transformer (Photos)

Yes, we are not joking….

It usually the work of Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) to set up electric transformers wherever they see fits according to electricity consumption of a particular area.

Setting up transformers isn’t a big deal that requires a ceremony but Maara South MP Kareke Mbiuki decided to hold a ceremony for the launch of a transformer.

The legislator even had a placard beneath the transformer as a constant reminder to the electorates that he was the one who launched it.

Photos of the MP launching the transformer sparked outrage on social media as Kenyans struggled to understand why a ceremony had to be held for such a small feat.
