President Uhuru Sacks His Spanner Boy Dennis Itumbi

Hours after returning from his three day state visit to Botswana, President Uhuru dropped the shocker on his Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU).

Dennis Itumbi was the director of digital innovations and diaspora communications in Kenyatta’s office until yesterday when he was shown the door.

Four PSCU members were sacked in what the head of public service, Nzioka Waita, termed as “concerns of unstructured communications”.

The four include Dennis Itumbi, Munyori Buku (Senior Director of Public Communications), Eric Ng’eno (Head of Messaging at the Presidency) and James Kinyua (Branding and Events Director.)

Statehouse spokesperson Manoah Esipisu was retained since he’s the only one who seemed to be doing his job diligently without misrepresenting the president and engaging in twitter shenanigans like Itumbi.

The bad/good news about PSCU was announced last night by Nzioka Waita who released a memo stating President Uhuru Kenyatta had gotten rid of his communications team.

Word has it that the PSCU members were restricted from accessing State House prior to the announcement about their dismissal.
