Exit Chris Brown enters Nicki Minaj… Hassan Joho reveals his plans with the bootylicious American songbird

Africa’s richest president paid Kes 200 million to bring Nicki Minaj to his country… Now Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is also bringing Nicki to Kenya.

Kenya will be the third African country Nicki Minaj will be performing at. The ‘Anaconda’ hit maker has only performed in South Africa and Angola.

Her performance in Luanda, Angola in 2015 was however controversial. Human rights activists and critics called for her concert to be canceled but Nicki Minaj went on to perform at a Christmas party hosted by the Unitel communications firm, which is part-owned by the family of Angola’s controversial President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, who has been in power for 37 years.

Daily Mail reports that the multibillionaire Jose Eduardo (his net worth is estimated to be over $20 Billion) paid Nicki Minaj $2 million (Kes 200 million) to have her perform in Luanda last year.

Back here at home, Joho yesterday announced Nicki Minaj would be the next international superstar to perform in Kenya. Mombasa to be precise.

Making the announcement at Mombasa Golf Club just after Chris Brown exited the stage, Joho clearly said negotiations with Nicki Minaj were underway.

For starters, Mombasa county government was part of the sponsors of the Mombasa Rocks Concert which Chris Brown performed at.

Joho said he would communicate the date when Nicki Minaj will be coming to Mombasa once the deal was done. He said the reason he was bringing international superstars to perform in Mombasa was to promote tourism at the coastal city.

His statement was echoed by Jamal Gaddafi (was the MC at the Mombasa Rocks concert) who told revelers to spread the word about Nicki Minaj coming to Kenya.
