Brutal End At VVIP Rooftop- Family Seeks Justice Over Teenager’s Death In Nairobi Club

Family of 17-year-old Wilberforce Kisia in Kangemi is enveloped in deep sorrow following his tragic death. The young man, described as a lively individual and a frequent club-goer, met a violent end after allegedly being attacked by security personnel at the VVIP Rooftop Club situated along River Road in Nairobi’s bustling central business district.

Days after he was last seen alive by his family, Kisia’s lifeless body was discovered concealed within the club’s premises, a grim discovery that has left his loved ones reeling in shock and disbelief.

What began as an ordinary Sunday night outing on May 11th took a devastating turn when the teenager reportedly became embroiled in an altercation with the club’s security bouncers.

Wilberforce Kisia was a familiar face on various social media platforms, celebrated for his energetic dance moves and captivating performances. He had left his family’s home in Kangemi with aspirations of honing his artistic talents and pursuing his passion. Tragically, he never made it back.

“The last time I saw him was Sunday. He said, ‘I’ll be back Monday morning.’ But by Tuesday, there was no word… nothing,” his brother, Kennedy Ambani, recounted with palpable grief.

The family’s initial concern escalated into alarm when their attempts to locate Wilberforce proved futile. “They hadn’t posted him on their club social… That’s when I knew something was wrong,” Ambani added, highlighting the club’s usual practice of featuring patrons on their social media.

Driven by growing anxiety over his prolonged silence, the family initiated a desperate search. They reached out to Wilberforce’s friends, meticulously scoured his social media accounts for any clues, and made numerous calls to the VVIP Rooftop Club. Their suspicions intensified when they noticed that Kisia’s recent videos, which had previously been shared on the club’s social media pages, had been quietly removed.

“I called the club cameraman. He just told me, ‘If it’s about Kisia, go ask the management,'” Ambani revealed, his voice laden with frustration and a sense of being stonewalled.

Since the discovery of Wilberforce’s death, eyewitnesses have come forward, providing harrowing accounts that shed light on the tragic sequence of events that unfolded that fateful night.

According to multiple independent testimonies, a disagreement erupted inside the VVIP Rooftop Club, leading to Kisia being confronted by at least two of the club’s bouncers while he was dancing on a stairway within the venue.

“He was dancing on the stairs when one bouncer grabbed him and handed him to another. That one held him by the neck. That’s the last they saw him,” recounted Vincent Mudoga, another of Wilberforce’s brothers, relaying the distressing information gathered from witnesses.

These eyewitnesses allege that Kisia was forcibly subdued, subjected to a brutal beating, and then dragged into a back room or restricted area within the club. It is within these confines that the young man’s life tragically ended, his body later being discovered hidden from public view. The family now seeks justice for Wilberforce, demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death and accountability for those allegedly involved in the brutal assault.
