A Kenyan artist tells all: a shocking tale of HIV/AIDS!

How many Kenyan celebrities can be said to be caring? Even moreso, how many Kenyan celebrities can be said to be deep?

Being deep isn’t about claiming a cause or a movement, it’s about the depth of passion in the soul. none other exemplifies this more than local songstress Q-ty. I recently had the chance to have a tete-a-tete with the nightingale and my mind was blown away!
When you see these artistes on screen, you never get to know the struggles behind the music or the hassle behind the passion. All we get to see is a mask, a facade they create to keep us entertained.
Well, Q-ty’s story is one of struggle, suffering and finally resilience. This beautiful lady has refused to let the world get her down even after suffering a personal loss that rocked her world.
What am i talking about? Well, if you read Ghafla more you would know that Q-ty has come out boldly to tell the world about her experience of losing a loved one to HIV/AIDS. She has a documentary that details her struggle and that of her sister (may she rest in the bossom of the Lord’s eternal peace).
Truly adversity brings clarity: Q-ty came from her heart-breaking struggle as she singlehandedly took care of her sister as a beautiful ray of hope for others through her foundation.
