A Reassurance From Blankets & Wine Regarding The Weather

Here is a note from Boniface Mwalii from Communications & PR of Muthoni Music Entertainment Ltd.:

Hello friends!!!

I hope you’re enjoying your first weekend of November and looking forward to what could easily be the biggest Blankets &Wine event of the year tomorrow. With all the excitement in the air ahead of Dwele’s highly anticipated performance at the 39th edition of Blankets & Wine, I felt it would be prudent to run you through a few pointers on what we have prepared for you.

Understandably, we have received a few queries regarding the prevailing weather patterns in Nairobi especially with the recent showers that have hit the city in the past couple of days. I’m glad to inform you that we had (fortunately) put in place adequate measures to ensure nothing gets in the way of this Sunday’s good times and especially not the weather! The number of tents within the grounds has been increased to ensure there is adequate shelter for everyone at the event. In addition, the grounds were prepared well in advance with tents having been built on Friday afternoon to ensure the sitting areas remain dry in the event of rain. also of significance is the fact that we have built an 850 pax capacity dome to shelter you in case the skies do decide to open during the event on Sunday. This is all aimed at ensuring our fans are able to have an uninterrupted and pleasant experience at this highly significant event.

In order to ensure smooth flow of traffic into and out of the grounds,we have doubled the number of KK Security personnel at the event who will be responsible for maintaining vehicles move in and out of the event with ease. The Kenya Police’s traffic department will also be on hand to assist in controlling traffic within the vicinity of the event to make sure you are able to conveniently access/exit the venue. Kindly cooperate with these officers as they work to ensure your traffic/parking needs are well attended to.

Finally, for those hoping to catch American Grammy nominee Dwele’s maiden performance in Africa, please note that this amazing performer will get on stage at 4.30 and not 5,45 which is our usual time for our headline acts. The main reason for this is in consideration of the families and children at the event who would need to be home earlier than the rest of us. It would be a disservice to deny this valued group in our community the chance to watch this talented performer in action and so we advise everyone to make their way to the venue in good time to catch this and the other performances of the day.

Please also note that advance tickets are quickly running out but you can still purchase some on ticketsasa.com before midday tomorrow for Ksh. 1,500. Tickets at the door will be sold at Ksh. 2,000.

Enjoy your evening and see you tomorrow 🙂
