Alma Mutheu Admits She Regrets Humiliating Ex-Boyfriend On Live TV (Video)

Popular Youtuber Alma Mutheu has publicly apologized, five months after criticizing her then-boyfriend, Gift, for what she described as a lack of financial contribution.

In December 2024, during an appearance on Obinna TV, Alma surprised her followers by alleging that Gift was not financially supporting their household despite living in her home. She stated at the time that she had been solely responsible for all expenses and had reached her limit.

Her remarks ignited considerable online discussion, with many viewers feeling that Gift had been unfairly humiliated publicly. Alma also indicated her desire to end the relationship at that point, urging him to seek employment. Gift, however, denied moving into her residence and claimed he had dyed his hair pink in an attempt to deepen her affection for him.

Alma Remains Apologetic

In a recent interview with Morin Actress, Alma addressed her reasons for her previous actions and offered a sincere apology. She explained that she typically internalizes her emotions and rarely shares her difficulties, often leading to emotional overload.

“I am that kind of person who doesn’t tell their problems. I don’t have that third person to talk to when dating. I don’t tell people how I am feeling so they can advise me. I just take it in, telling myself I’ll be fine, then it becomes too much,” she confessed.

She admitted that her outburst stemmed from exhaustion and emotional distress, not ill will.

“I would like to apologise because of the disrespect, because it came out like, ‘Why would you do that, Alma?’ I didn’t really want it to come out like that. I was just so tired,” she said.

It remains uncertain whether Alma and Gift remained in a relationship following the public controversy. A review of their social media profiles showed that they have removed photos of each other.
