Andrew Kibe takes a swipe at Christianity and Jesus Christ

Controversial YouTuber Andrew Kibe has once again lit up the internet after boldly explaining why he steers clear of big social gatherings like weddings and funerals.

Speaking during an appearance on the Alex Mwakideu TV podcast, the outspoken former radio host laid bare his unapologetic views on tradition, religion, and what he calls the “fakeness” of modern society.

“I Don’t Do Ceremonies”

Kibe made it clear that weddings are a hard no for him. According to the polarising commentator, such events are a massive waste of time, money, and emotional energy.

He singled out weddings as particularly irritating, claiming people obsess over meaningless details for hours on end.

“I don’t think it’s necessary… someone will spend 30 minutes discussing a wedding cake. I don’t have that time,” he said, dismissing the entire ceremony culture as pointless.

Funerals, Faith and a Brutal Take on Religion

His boycott doesn’t stop at weddings. Kibe also avoids funerals, especially those dominated by religious sermons.

He questioned why clergy spend time preaching about Jesus during burial services instead of addressing the reality of death and loss.

“Funeral service tells us about Jesus, who was 2,000 years ago. What is Jesus doing in our conversation?” he asked, adding that Kenya has “lost its way.”

Kibe went further, calling for religion to be pushed out of public life altogether. He argued that faith should be strictly personal and cited China as an example of a thriving, “godless society.”

“Religion is your business; it’s not our business… don’t bring your delusions out here in the public,” he said bluntly.

Slamming Marriage as ‘Fake’

Kibe’s refusal to attend weddings is rooted in his deep mistrust of modern marriage. He claimed that most married people live dishonest lives and present a fake image to the world.

According to him, if spouses truly knew everything about each other, many marriages would collapse.

He even revealed that he avoids working with married men, describing them as unreliable and prone to changing their minds.

New Book, Same Controversy

Despite — or perhaps because of — the backlash his views often attract, Kibe is pressing on with his brand. He is currently promoting his new book, 28 Commandments: Journey into Manhood, which outlines life lessons he wishes he had known at 28.
