Another Kenyan Wins Big Award In America
After Lupita Nyong’o made herself a household name in the whole world by winning the Oscar award for her role in the Twelve Years a Slave film, Kenyans seem not to have stopped there. They are doing even better overseas.
The latest in the line of Kenyans making it big in America is George Ndege Jojo, who won the award for owning Jambo Africa Restaurant.
The Jambo Africa Restaurant in Minnesota, USA, was voted the best African eatery in the USA, effectively making Ndege the winner of the prestigious award.

Ndege who co-owns the restaurant with his Liberian partner, won the award in a colourful ceremony that was conducted in the USA.
The Jambo Africa Restaurant serves foods of all kind and was recognised as a restaurant with the best customer services in America.
The awards are organised by Touchlight Foundation which recognises achievements made by African immigrants in culture, education, fashion, philanthropy and entertainment.
