He was born on March 10, 1979 but relocated to California in his formative years and studied acting at New York University..The gods were kind to him and and soon after he began landing prestigious roles on television shows like CSI: Miami and House M.D. Gathegi’s big break on the silver screen came when he was cast as Laurent a nomadic vampire in Twilight (2008).
