Artiste Who Dissed Kisima Awards Nominees Apologizes
In a statement, Influx Swagga has issued an apology for his song titled “swagga boy” in which he dissed all the artistes nominated in the categories of Best Hip-hop and Artiste of the Year for the recently concluded Kisima Music Awards. The apology is directed to artistes like Rabbit, Octopizzo, Nameless, Camp Mulla, X-tatic and Nonini who were directly or indirectly mentioned in the song.
He however asserts that he does not owe Juliani and Emmy Kosgey any apology since he did not mention them in any way to insinuate negativity and is ready to express his regret if any of them demands an apology. The apology is part of Influxx Swagga’s peace campaigns under the Messengers of Peace Kenya Network (Amani Kwetu Initiative) and he feels that he should not be preaching water and drinking wine.
“That most Kenyan artistes are reading from the same script, that the just concluded Kisima Awards was all F***ed up, we do not need to create any beef over an awards that will die soon, we need to work together to achieve an independent music industry” he says. That aside, Influx Swagga is currently concentrating on winning The Nyota Award which he is nominated alongside Qty.
