BBC World opens Largest Bureau Outside the UK, in Nairobi

It will no-longer be a surprise when some of the news from our country appears on BBC Channel. This International News channel has opened what many are referring to as the Largest Bureau outside the Uk. It is in our neighboring country, Kenya. This expansion to Nairobi, gives an opportunity for African journalists to share their skills with the world.

“We are celebrating the African journalists and program makers here today who will carry the torch of BBC professionalism, accuracy and impartiality into the future,” Rachael Akidi Okwir, the Head of East Africa Languages for the BBC World Service shared.

From social media, we also understand that our very own Raymond Mujuni may feature in the first billeting of the station.
