Bongo actress, Wema Sepetu claims to have contracted viral disease while behind bars

Tanzanian actress, Wema Sepetu alleges she contracted a viral disease during her time in jail.

The commercial model spent a week behind bars after defying court orders by skipping court hearings.

She was soon released on bail on Monday, the 24th of June 2019.

However, the former Miss Tanzania comes out to reveal the terrifying moments she had while locked away.

Wema alleges to have contracted a disease and therefore admitted in hospital.

Speaking exclusively during an interview with a Tanzanian media house, the socialite cites that prison is not heaven and her health has not been the same ever since.

Kwanza mbu ni wengi, walining’ata sana.

Nilipimwa malaria, uti na vipimo vingine, lakini ugojwa haukubainika,

alichonishauri daktari wangu ni kuwa ipo haja ya kupima vipimo vingine ili kujua.

However, her doctor is yet to come up with a conclusive diagnosis on the same but the advice to her is to test for Dangue, a mosquito-borne viral disease since she is still sickly.

When asked whether she might have fallen sick even before he arrest, Wema clarifies:

Hapana, wakati naenda mahabusu nilikuwa nimeshapona muda mrefu, matatizo niliyapata huko.

Kwanza nikiwa mahabusu niliumwa sana na tumbo, kichwa na mwili kuishiwa nguvu, hadi siku natoka sikuwa sawa kiafya.

Wema Sepetu´s next court hearing is on Thursday, the 4th of July 2019.
