BREAKING NEWS: TV Presidential Debate Suspended

News just in indicates that Kenya’s first TV presidential debate has been put on hold until after moderators and political parties’ nominations are jointly reached upon by Campaign teams.

There was a heated debated among Kenyans online concerning who should moderate the debate after Citizen TV’s Julie Gichuru and NTV’s Linus Kaikai were picked to orchestrate it with a significant section of them favoring veteran journalist and thespian John Sibi Okumu.

“That is practical. Imagine having a debate with 10 guys then you realise after nominations and alliances only 5 or less are running. It would have been waste of time and resourceful”, commented one concerned Kenyan in relation to political parties’ nominations.

“The reality is that the media cannot decide dates for campaign teams it must be an agreement and debates must be held after nominations”, said renowned journalist Dennis Itumbi adding his voice (and support) to this news.
