Breathtaking. This is the best Kenyan acoustic song I have ever heard

Oh my God. I have no words to describe this song. Breathtaking doesn’t even cover the entire feeling that this song drives into the soul.

It’s amazing what a guy full of musical talent can do with a guitar and his voice, accompanied by some small kicks and snares here and there.

Maurice Kirya’s ‘Hold on’ is a track dedicated to all those that struggle day by day just to make ends meet. Trying to get that money no matter the obstacles is what it is all about. It’s funny how this song leaves you in such a peaceful mood, irregardless of the state it found you in. It’s one of those songs that makes you think that the artiste actually understands you.

It becomes even better on discovery that Maurice recorded this song from the blues. He had no plan of recording it when he stepped into the Phoenix Records Studios, until the ambiance in the room got to him.

You just have to listen to this song to and watch the video to understand what I’m talking about. Take a look.
