Celebrated Comedian Jalang’o Condemns Decision To Revoke The Licenses Of Ummoinner Buses After The Grizzly Accident That Killed 12 People

About a week ago, a train rammed into an Ummoinner bus at Mutindwa causing a grizzly accident that led to the loss of 12 lives and scores injured. This accident has not only caused uproar among the public but it has led to the government deciding that all operating licenses for Ummoinner Sacco should be revoked.

This was a decision was supported by The Matatu Welfare Association who said that the move aims at bringing sanity to the transport sector considering that thousands of lives are lost every year due to careless driving.

Funny man Jalango however disagrees with this decision saying that:

‘I still think that the Ummoinner train crash was just another accident and punishing the whole Sacco is so unfair….my argument…there are worse buses on the road than the Ummoinner buses and trying to use them as bait only hurts the Sacco…The Sacco has over 150 buses, a bus employs the driver, makanga na jamaa wa squoodi..3 people per bus, can you multiply that by 150? Then know how many people are unemployed with this move? Then their families….Remember I don’t support impunity on the road and you can’t compare the grief that the families that lost their families are going through… WHATS YOUR TAKE?’
