Chanel’s artistic director Karl Lagerfeld dies

Haute-couture designer Karl Lagerfeld, an artistic director at Chanel, has died. He was 85.

The designer is known for his signature dark suits, pony-tailed white hair and tinted sun glasses. He was also associated with Chanel but also delivered collections for LVMH’s Fendi and his own label.

Lagerfeld is reported to have died yesterday after being rushed to a hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, outside Paris, the night before.
