Citizen’s Road Hog Awarded (Photos)

It is widespread knowledge that Kenyan drivers especially those who are in charge of Public Service vehicles can be very sloppy and irresponsible and this has led to preventable road bloodshed.

Habits such as road rage, drunk driving, overlapping and crossing at undesignated areas have led to loss of thousands of lives in Kenya. The Umoinner grizzly accident for example that claimed 12 lives and left scores wounded when a train rammed into an Ummoinner bus at Mutindwa is an example of avoidable carnage.

Something needed to be done to put an end to this madness and that is where Road Hog came in.Road Hog is an innovative programme by leading media house Citizen Tv that aims at capturing wayward drivers through a camera lens, naming and shaming those who go around breaking rules with impunity.This programme has been quite a hit and as the  sages once said ‘Chanda Chema Huvishwa Pete’.Association of Kenya Insures who have suffered great losses due to to the rampant accidents recently awarded the TV statiion for their impeccable work
