COP Kofi Boakye Appointed As the Director General Of the Police Intelligence And Professional Standards (PIPS)

The police responds to the widespread of robberies across the country.

The police in the country want to ensure that the perpetrators are caught. Also, hoping to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The Police gives COP Kofi Boakye a new position. Therefore, he is the Director General of the Police Intelligence and Professional Standards (PIPS) bureau.

About COP Kofi Boakye

COP Boakye, apart from being a police officer is a trained lawyer.

He is experiencing his second transfer since the change of government.

Furthermore, he moved from the Ashanti region as the regional commander to the Police headquarters as Director General Research/Planning in February 2017.

This was in an internal memo signed by the IGP David Asante-Apeatu. Moreover, the Greater Accra regional commander DCOP Osabarima Asare Oware Pinkro III replaces COP Kofi Boakye.

Meanwhile, ACP George Alex Mensah moves from the Eastern region to head the Greater Accra regional Command.
