DCI summon Babu Owino

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has reportedly been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

According to a letter posted on his social media, Owino is believed to have crucial information related to an ongoing investigation. The specifics of the investigation remain unclear, but the legislator has been instructed to report to Eunice Njue.

Reliable sources indicate that Babu Owino is one of three MPs who have been called in by the DCI. Additionally, a former governor has also been summoned regarding allegations of inciting violence during recent anti-government protests.

The individuals are expected to visit the DCI headquarters on different dates for questioning.

Authorities allege that these individuals organized groups to raid and loot shops and other businesses amidst the Gen Z protests in the city. However, the accused parties have denied these allegations.
