Dem Wa Facebook has opened up about why she kept the arrival of her twin daughters away from the public for nearly a month.
The comedian, whose real name is Millicent Ayuwa, explained that she chose to enjoy the special moment privately before making the announcement. She credited her close friends for respecting her wishes and keeping the news confidential.
As she prepared to celebrate her daughters turning one month old, Dem revealed that having trusted friends who can keep personal matters private made it possible for her to protect the special moment.
“Yes, my babies are turning one month tomorrow. The secret is having friends who can keep your secrets,” she wrote.
Birth announcement
Dem Wa Facebook finally shared the news in an emotional post on the eve of her daughters’ one-month milestone, explaining that some blessings require time before they are shared publicly.
“Some blessings are so big, and some joy is so sacred, that it needs time to settle into your heart before it can be shared with the world,” she said.
The comedian revealed that on May 20, 2026, at exactly 7:25 a.m., she welcomed her twin daughters, describing their arrival as one of the greatest gifts she has ever received.
“For the past one month, I have been soaking in every moment and every feeling that comes with this incredible new chapter,” she added.
Dem said the past few weeks have been filled with adjusting to motherhood, bonding with her daughters, and embracing the new responsibilities that came with raising two children.

The entertainer expressed gratitude to God for the blessing while appreciating her family, friends, management team and online supporters for standing by her.

Dem Wa Facebook also shared a heartfelt message to her newborn daughters, describing them as the greatest blessing in her life.
“My girls, you are already the greatest blessing of my life, and Mummy loves you so much,” she wrote.
