DJ’s Daughter Gets Into Music

Carrie Kingz is one of the newest rapper/singers on the music scene. The Kenyatta University HR student sings and raps. Her style is diverse, having her key influences ranging from Kesha, Keyshia Cole and Keri Hilson.

Her love for music started at a very tender age, as her father was a DJ in the early ’90s. She also gets part of her name from her father, DJ Kings. She is a multi-talented artist as she is also into acting and modelling. Before she got into doing her own music, under the ATL Entertainment umbrella, she did her share of video vixening. However, the cameras and the lights were not what her heartbeat for.

She has released her first single, 254 Party, and has worked with Gaza, Alfayo and Kenrazy, on Kenyan Anthem, and with newcomers Liqweed and Baby T on another single, Mziki. She looks forward to work on her own album with tracks having no inclination to no particular genre as she raps, sings, and is inspired by all music genres. Check out her first single, 254 Party below.
