Don’t Be Conned By Conmen. This Is The Official List Of Facebook Celebs’ Pages

We have now reported thrice about how conmen have turned to Facebook to con innocent Kenyans of their hard earned money. First was the Facebook theivery incident I witnessed for myself pale Ngara. After that, there was an announcement by Grandpa records about a conman who was pretending to represent them. Then there was the con artist who was busted using the profile of Kirigo from Citizen TV. We have therefore taken it upon ourselves to provide a list of verified Facebook profiles of Kenyans most prominent celebrities. Here is the criteria we used:

1. We observed previous online activity, especially uploaded photos. If the past information carries sufficiently private information about the celeb’s personal life, we considered it a verified account.

2. We also made calls to confirm, especially to the celebrities who have multiple profiles on FB.

3. There are also some who we have contacted in the past for information on the news.

4. We only regarded the people who have more than 20,000 likes, as those are the ones we saw were at the highest risk of being impersonated.
