Don’t Waste Your Waist. These Guys Certainly Aren’t
Priffa and Brifa are not just the usual dancers you get to meet, greet and forget about. A minute with them is an eternal moment that you’ll live to reminisce. Their identical nature is that wow print that will be tattooed in your mind. Call it image, they got it all. These identical twins lead by example, and that’s why their sobriquet is Example Dancers. Dance is their x-factor and they are keeping it real to the grave. Having been through thick and thin, ups and downs they have made dance their catalyst the very piston that keeps them moving. They have held all other recessive traits at bay; dance is the only dominant gene in the DNA.

It all began back in June 1st 1990 in Kitale town where they were born. They tell me that they even used to have dance battles in their mother’s womb and it’s the winner who came out first. Crazy, isn’t it? Mmh! In high school they were both goalkeepers and they used to substitute each other without the referees knowing. They enjoyed confusing girls and covered up for each others mistakes. However, their schooling days played a great role in their career. A schoolmate, who was a dancer by then, inspired and agitated their raw talent into being. They used to watch him dance; call it apprenticeship. As their interest levels began getting aroused behold, they started developing symptoms of great dancers. They later were to be diagnosed with the current infection of dance-maniacs they have become.
Their growth in the entertainment industry can be tracked and traced over the years. Example Dancers began their boogying career officially in 2007. Since then, they have never relented; they have been building the history that their future will base itself on. Their hard work has not been sterile to success; they have featured and won some of the dance shows they have participated in. In the year 2008 and 2009 they were won both Clash of the Titans I & Clash of the Titans II, respectively. Since breaking the virginity of winning, they have been on form and have had a winning streak thereafter. In 2009 they were yet again crowned the winners of Nani Gwiji in Kitale in the whole of Rift valley. In 2011 they featured in Sakata 2, Sakata 3 in 2012, Sakata 4 and Katika (K24) in 2013. They were once members of Sarakasi dancers 2012.
This year they joined The Identical Family, where they met other identical twins on board and together they have been carrying out projects. Through The Identical Family they have been able to do charity work under the TwinsCare initiative that has been touching society with Midas uniqueness. They have been visiting children homes, the disabled and offering community services to the society.
Briffa and Priffa are not leaving the dance scene any time soon because it is from there that they eke a dime and make a living. Dancing has not only made their ends meet but has also seen them tour neighboring countries just to shoot artistes video songs. I like their attitude; attitude is what marks one’s altitude anyway. Basing my prediction on the latter, these gentlemen are scaling for higher the heights. For budding aspiring dancers they have an advice, ‘don’t waste your waist’.
