Exactly one month closer to the much anticipated Jah Cure concert
I’m just bubbling up with excitement even as I write up this article. I just can’t believe this is actually going to happen. Jah Cure will indeed be performing in Kenya in a month’s time. A dream come true for me, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this.
For those that are still captives to the chaining mentality that reggae music and its concerts are for ‘sufferers’, thus your pretence of no interest to this upcoming concert and all that are to come in the near future, I feel sympathy for you for not knowing what you miss in pursuit of avoiding the nonsensical ‘sufferers’ title.
How a certain genre of music can be reserved for the poor, or should I say less than the average class of individuals, is just uncalled for. Have pride fellow reggae lovers. If you attended the previous Tarrus Riley and Etana concert at the Carnivore grounds a few months ago, then you know that that was enough proof that reggae is not about class nor ‘who is who’. Both average and rolling ballers were in the concert, enjoying themselves silly. I wasn’t surprised at all to see divas and sharply dressed gentlemen singing along to Tarrus Riley and Etana lyrics. Almost brought tears to my eyes.
Now, with Jah Cure on the way, I am more than proud to say that I will be in the front line of this concert. Wouldn’t miss it for the world, and with tickets going for not less than Sh. 2000, I seriously don’t see any ‘sufferer’ element here.
See you at the Kasarani indoor arena on the 1st of December 2012. Get your advanced tickets right here.
