From Mabati To Mercedes: Kenyan Prince Opens Up About His Rags-to-Riches Journey
In a recent interview on the Iko Nini podcast with Mwafreeka, Raymond Omosa, better known as Kenyan Prince, shared the raw details of a childhood defined by struggle and how it fuels his current public persona.
The controversial forex trader and content creator addressed the criticism he faces for flaunting his wealth, explaining that his digital footprint hasn’t always been about luxury.
A Childhood of Resilience
Omosa’s early life was a far cry from the high-end lifestyle he portrays today. Born to a mother who was still in high school (Form Two) at the time, he and his sibling were raised by their maternal grandmother.
Tragedy struck early when his mother passed away when he was just four years old. Growing up without ever meeting his father, Omosa faced severe financial hurdles, including Educational Struggles.
He recalled being sent home for school fees and missing an entire academic term.
Why He Shows Off Today
Responding to those who “hate” his displays of wealth, the Kenyan Prince argued that he has always been transparent, even when he had nothing. He reminded critics that he previously posted about living in a bedsitter while being supported by his girlfriend, going hungry and literally begging for food and financial help online.
”I expose my life because I want to be a motivation to someone out there who wants to see the journey of a young man who worked hard and is going somewhere,” he explained.
For Omosa, posting his Mercedes or his mansion isn’t just about bragging; it’s the final chapter of a story that started with him asking for help on the same platforms.
The “Most Hated” Label
Despite his academic success and business ventures in forex, the Kenyan Prince remains a polarizing figure. Whether it’s driving cars without plates or his unapologetic attitude toward wealth, he maintains that his lifestyle serves as proof that your background doesn’t define your future.
