From Msee Wa Mjengo to Record Label Owner. Cartel Katenga Ametoka Far

Cartel Katenga has come from far. The artiste is now working hard to bring up other artistes through his Katenga Entertainment label.

What people don’t know is that he came from a humble background. He was interviewed by Pulse Magazine where he revealed that he worked at a fish farm. He confirmed to Ghafla! that indeed he earned Kshs. 570 which translates to Kshs. 76 a day.

“My first job was at the fish farm in Ruaraka. I used to leave in Korogocho. My house rent was Kshs. 400 amonth. Used to trek work.” Speaking to Ghafla!, he even made more revelations about his hustler days, “Thats how harsh life was. During the weekend, I used to do mjengo work where I was being paid Kshs. 250 per day.”
