This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is certainly going to be a ‘hot’ one as the Music Industry has indeed witnessed lots of talents exhibited by most artistes-both new and old.<\/p>\n
Already, there are high expectations in connection with the forthcoming event from musicians and fans alike.<\/p>\n
Names like Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Ebony, Kidi, Fancy Gadam, are highly expected to walk away with the enviable title that night.<\/p>\n
Of course Shatta Wale has also been highly earmarked for the award by many Ghanaians.<\/p>\n
But his winning is dependent on whether the awards body will nominate him or not.<\/p>\n
In accordance with that belief, the ‘Freedom’ hitmaker says that indeed it\u2019s only when his name is off the list that Ebony will win the prestigious\u00a0\u2018Artiste of the Year\u2019\u00a0award.<\/p>\n
Shatta Wale expressed mad love over Ebony\u2019s brand. But he was quick to ask her to increase her prayers that his name is not part of the awardees.<\/p>\n
The self-proclaimed Dancehall King said he has had a bigger year than Ebony.<\/p>\n
He listed his hits such as \u2018Taking Over\u2019, \u2018Ayoo\u2019, \u2018Forgetti\u2019, \u2018Freedom\u2019 and \u2018Dem Confused\u2019.<\/p>\n
“Ebony is my girl and I really love her and what she is doing but as for the artiste of the year, unless they don\u2019t nominate me, before she can win. So she should just pray they don\u2019t nominate me,” he said on Okay FM.<\/p>\n
However, over the past years Shatta Wale has been in a feud with the organizers of the awards. This precludes him from the awards but it\u2019s not clear if he\u2019ll be part of this year\u2019s event or not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
