Anita Erskine has spoken out against the new wave of feminists. These feminists believe they are at war with men. She argued that feminism is more about empowering women than tearing down men.<\/p>\n
Anita Erskine made these statements on ‘Keeping It Real With Joselyn Dumas’.<\/em><\/p>\n Recently, feminism has become the center of a lot of discussions in Ghana. This is due to the new breed of feminists who are taking on society in their bid to fight for women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n However, this movement has brought about a separate issue.<\/p>\n The topic at the center of discussion was\u00a0\u2018Are Women Our Own Enemies?\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n Erskine opined that feminism was a positive concept. It centred more on a woman and her beliefs and abilities rather than looking to cast blame on men as the cause of everything wrong with women.<\/p>\n Furthermore, Erskine said she would unequivocally describe herself as a feminist. However, she does not see it as a reason to hate men.<\/p>\n \u201cI love being a feminist. A feminist is someone who understands the basis of her beliefs, who is eager to teach another generation of women the rights and wrongs. A feminist is someone who is not afraid to share no matter what.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t like how everybody gets up and calls themselves a feminist. A feminist is not someone who hates men. It\u2019s like the moment they hear you\u2019re married then you\u2019re not a feminist.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Joselyn Dumas agreed that feminism lies in empowering women and not tearing down men.
