The entire house of parliament approved his appointment. However, it came after some intense debate on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>NDC Mp, Dominic Ayine raised objections. However, Speaker Mike Ocquaye overruled him. He then called for the vote. This led to Amidu\u2019s approval.<\/p>\n<p>The vote on the floor of the house followed the Appointment Committee approving the former Attorney General\u2019s candidacy.<\/p>\n<h4>Road To Martin Amidu Appointment As Special Prosecutor<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">President Nana Akufo-Addo nominated the former NDC minister for the role earlier this year. Furthermore, he was vetted by Parliament\u2019s Appointment Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Despite a suit at the Supreme Court challenging his appointment, Parliament went ahead to approve him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Martin Amidu is ready for his new position.
