Renowned Playwright, James Ebo Whyte has revealed that he\u00a0has always valued talent more than certificates.<\/p>\n

For a country like Ghana, where people value and place much respect on educational titles,\u00a0 Mr. Whyte thinks otherwise.<\/p>\n
Uncle Ebo, as he’s affectionately called said even though he was good at marketing, he couldn\u2019t see himself working in the corporate industry.<\/p>\n
The renowned dramatist, said he always prayed to God for wisdom and that he had always felt that his calling was in writing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had the feeling to live on my gifts so I didn\u2019t want anything to take me back. I felt deep down that I have been called to writing.\u201d\u00a0 He told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM Thursday.<\/p>\n
He further cited instances where he had to get rid of his certificates or intentionally fail a paper. All these just so he could make time to develop his passionate career.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026figures come easy to me and letters too so it becomes easy for me [to follow my passion]. I am older than most computers in Ghana. I have a terrible handwriting but what has that got to do with anything. Now I can hardly write with ink because I am used to computers,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n Uncle Ebo is set to stage his latest play, \u2018Special Delivery\u2019 at the National Theatre on March 31, April 1 and April 8. The play will show at 4 pm and 8 pm each day.<\/p>\n James Ebo Whyte is an accomplished and awards-winning playwright and CEO of Roverman Productions.<\/p>\n He has over the thrilled fans with hilarious, educative, and intriguing stage performances.
