Moreover, the CID charged him treason.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, his lawyer Victor Adawudu confirmed the charge to Joy News. Also, he reported the police saying the suspect will not be released on bail.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, he spent the night in jail. This due to his comments government described as \u201ctreasonable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The police whisked him from the headquarters to an unknown location.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, hundreds of supporters converged at the Police HQ to demand the release of Koku Anyidoho. They blocked roads, fomented trouble and later dispersed by the police.<\/p>\n<h4>Koku Anyidoho&#8217;s &#8216;treasonous&#8217; comments<\/h4>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cOn the January 13, 1972 a certain Col. Ignatius Kutu Acheampong led a movement that removed the Progress Party from power. Busia was the Prime Minister and Akufo-Addo\u2019s father was a ceremonial president. Somebody should tell Nana Akufo-Addo that history has a very interesting way of repeating itself.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There\u2019ll be a civilian coup d\u2019etat; there\u2019ll be a social revolution and the movement is starting on Wednesday.
