The Founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC),\u00a0Pastor Mensa Otabil\u00a0has cautioned men to desist from ‘sponsoring’ women.<\/p>\n

Pastor Mensah Otabil, in a series of tweets has sent words of caution and pieces of advice to Ghanaians.<\/p>\n

According to the man of God, any man who spends his money on a woman he has no intention of marrying is ‘unwise’.<\/p>\n

“It is not wise for a man to work hard just to give all his money to a woman he has no intention of marrying in the first place. To any man doing this, please, for your own sake, be wise”, <\/em>reads one of his tweet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He also wrote people end up becoming frustrated carbon copies when they spend their lives trying despearately to become what they are not.<\/p>\n

“Those who spend their lives trying desperately to be what they are not, end up as frustrated carbon copies who get bypassed by the world”, he tweeted.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Last but not least, the infamous preacher also advised on the need for us to be independent.<\/p>\n

“There is little that our generation can achieve if we do not break the spirit of dependency. We have what it takes to do great things. But it starts with us believing in our God-given potential”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Background<\/h3>\n

Pastor Otabil’s tweets can be linked with the actress Moesha Boduong’s interview on CNN.<\/p>\n

The Ghanaian Socialite told CNN that the economy in Ghana is structured such that women are compelled to become the ‘mistresses’ of married men in order to make ends meet.<\/p>\n

\u201cGhana our economy is such that you just need someone to take care of you because you can\u2019t make enough money as a woman here,\u201d<\/em> she told Christiane Amanpour.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Her utterances has since sparked controversies among some Ghanaians. Some believe that she spoke the ‘bitter truth’. Others however also disagree with the fact that she made references to all ‘Ghanaian women’<\/p>\n

The man of God, must have also read or heard about Moesha\u2019s wild confession and in a series of tweets, shared his thoughts and some pieces of advise.<\/p>\n
