{"id":29679,"date":"2018-04-16T11:48:13","date_gmt":"2018-04-16T11:48:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/gh\/?p=29679"},"modified":"2018-04-16T11:48:13","modified_gmt":"2018-04-16T11:48:13","slug":"ghanaians-mock-king-promise-for-losing-5-awards-at-vgma-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/ghanaians-mock-king-promise-for-losing-5-awards-at-vgma-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"King Promise Trolled On Twitter For Losing 5 Awards At VGMA 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If there&#8217;s someone who probably walked out of the Accra International Conference Hall very downhearted on Saturday, then it&#8217;s King Promise.<\/p>\n<p>As if that&#8217;s not enough, some people have taken it upon themselves to mock the budding artiste over his lost.<\/p>\n<p>King Promise, who made strides last year with two major hits; \u201cOh Yeah\u201d and \u201cSelfish\u201d, gained 5 nominations \u2013 a feat hardly achieved by newcomers.<\/p>\n<p>He was listed in the \u201cAfropop Song of the Year\u201d, \u201cBest Music Video of the Year\u201d, \u201cBest Male Vocalist of the Year\u201d, \u201cBest New Artiste of the Year\u201d and \u201cSong of the Year\u201d but lost all to his competitors.<\/p>\n<p>However, surprisingly the &#8216;Selfish&#8217; hitmaker did not win any one of those nominations.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly enough, immediately the ceremony was over, his head was on the Twitter &#8216;Chopping board.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some Twitter users took him on and gave him the troll of his life.<\/p>\n<p>However, it seems none of their negativity is getting into King Promise as he took to Twitter to thank all his fans for their support. He added that they&#8217;re only starting.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;big love &amp; thanks to everyone that took time out to vote for me! Love you guys die.
