{"id":29899,"date":"2018-04-17T08:31:37","date_gmt":"2018-04-17T08:31:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/gh\/?p=29899"},"modified":"2018-04-17T08:07:40","modified_gmt":"2018-04-17T08:07:40","slug":"29899-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/29899-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Patapaa Explains Why He Wore Over-Sized Suits To The VGMAs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The man of &#8216;One Corner&#8217; fame, Patapaa Amisty has finally opened up on his choice of costume at the 2018 VGMAs.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Accra-based Zylofon FM, the Swedru-based artiste revealed that he chose to wear the suit in order to get people talking.<\/p>\n<div>According to the musician, his main aim was to trend on social media to get people to talk about him for a long time.<\/div>\n<div>He added that patrons were even left off the hook because he intended wearing \u2018toggers\u2019 to the awards ceremony.<\/div>\n<p>Well, it seems he did achieve his aim because he became a topic for discussion. Patapaa has been on the &#8216;sewing machines&#8217; of various social media users since his appearance on the red carpet.<\/p>\n<p>A section of Ghanaians have been mocking him for wearing an over-sized suit to the event. He however lost to his Northern counterpart, Fancy Gadam&#8217;s &#8216;Total Cheat&#8217; song which features Sarkodie.<\/p>\n<p>Patapaa, after missing out on the award was seen storming out of the Accra International Conference Center in anger.<\/p>\n<h3>He later accused Charter House of taking \u201cstupid money\u201d to overlook him after Fancy Gadam&#8217;s win.<\/h3>\n<p>According to Patapaa, the reaction of the audience at the show when the award went to Fancy Gadam proves that he deserved the award.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Patapaa emerged all of a sudden and took Ghana by storm with his &#8216;One Corner&#8217; song. The song was highly patronized and enjoyed by both the old and young. It did not only stay in Ghana but tcrossed the borders as well.<\/p>\n<p>One interesting thing about the song was the dance moves that was associated with it.
