Furthermore, he asks us to clad ourselves with local fabrics to help project and protect their identity.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, according to the Rap Dacta wearing African prints once a day is not enough.<\/p>\n<h4>His Instagram caption<\/h4>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI think The African Wear shouldn\u2019t be just a Friday Affair .Everyday we should wear Made in Ghana until the Countries from which we import Our Foriegn Clothing begin to wear our Styles . #wearGhana @bellocouturegh\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The government launched the \u201cNational Friday Wear Programme\u201d. This was an initiative aimed at projecting a unique Ghanaian identity through the extensive use of local fabric.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and President\u2019s Special Initiative initiated the programme. They set aside Fridays for all public officers and the private sector.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, it was part of a comprehensive programme to promote made-in-Ghana goods and to revitalise the textile and garments industry.<\/p>\n<p>However, the initiative isn&#8217;t catching on as expected.
