The\u00a0Daughters of Glorious Jesus<\/em>\u00a0emerged on the Ghanaian musical scene in 1990 with their hit song Anwanwa Do. Two years later, in 1992, the group came out with Mebo Yesu Din Daa.<\/p>\n

However, this was just the beginning of a long and successful music career.<\/p>\n

After almost 30 years of thrilling Ghanaians with electrifying gospel songs have set yet another milestone in the industry.<\/p>\n

The group, has endorsed and introduced into the industry a trio whom they believe will continue on the same path with the stage name, ‘Double D’.<\/p>\n

Double D<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Double D, stands for \u201cDaughters of Daughters of Glorious Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n

This can only mean that this youngsters are coming with double versions of the blessings of their predecessors.<\/p>\n

The introduction of Double D happened exclusively in the studio of Adom FM during the station\u2019s \u201cAdom Live Worship\u201d show.<\/p>\n

Right after this, there was a masterclass performance at the \u201cBack2Back concert\u201d organised at the Charismatic Evangelical Ministry, East Legon.<\/p>\n

The new trio showed beyond doubt that they have prospects for the future. Their performance, voice quality, stagecraft and connection with the audience set them apart from the rest.<\/p>\n

According to one of the members, they owe who they are today to a pastor who mentored them. This Pastor, she added gave them the exposure and chance to be where they wanted to be.<\/p>\n

She added that their story inspired them to also adopt Double D and motivate them in whatever way possible and set them on the right path.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThis is an action worth recommending. If our senior musicians will all adopt someone as Joe Mettle and Daughters have shown with Luigi and the Double D, the gospel industry will not lack good content\u2026,\u201d she maintained.<\/em><\/h3>\n

Another member, Christiana said: \u201cWe complain about good content like the old people but most of them go to their grave without leaving behind anything for their next generation\u2026<\/em>\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The trio urged Ghanaians to support their craft and appreciate them just as they did with \u201cDaughters of Glorious Jesus\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s time the body of Christ gives the Double D the needed support and push as Daughters got and I am sure this young music group, the new daughters (Double D) will succeed\u2026\u201d They added.
\n<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Daughters of Glorious Jesus comprise of two sisters and a friend. It is made up of Cynthia Appiadu , Edna Sarpong, and Monica Owusu Ansah . Cynthia, the youngest, writes and composes most of the songs of the group and she is the lead singer as well.<\/p>\n

The trio is one of a few groups including, Tagoe sisters, Alabaster box and Soul Winners, that have braved the odds, and stuck together for years. They have adorned the music industry with classic hit songs that will live after their exit.<\/p>\n
