Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly called Shatta Wale has said, he should have been crowned ‘Artiste of the Year’ five years ago.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Dr.Poundz on Hitz Gallery, he said, \u201cfrom 2013 to 2017, all the awards winners for the \u2018Artiste of the Year\u2019 should know I deserved it. They shouldn\u2019t think they worked hard. They should come out. I am just doing business\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

He also noted that he was better then and is now than those who won the prestigious award.<\/p>\n

\u201cGhanaians know I have set a record regardless. I would have copped it five years on the row. We don\u2019t have to hide the truth from the young ones coming\u2026\u201d Shatta Wale maintained.<\/p>\n

The ‘Taking Over’ hit maker further extended his gratitude towards President Nana Addo for inviting him to the Flagstaff house.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was such a great honour to meet the president. The feeling was great\u2026\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Shatta Wale further called on fellow Ghanaian musicians to support the \u2018Unity Agenda\u2019 to put Ghana on the international map.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need everyone\u2019s support. It was a great honor to meet the president. The feeling was great. We should try and be truthful to matters that are important to us.
