This is his first cover since he was confirmed as the new editor-in-chief of British Vogue earlier in the year.<\/p>\n<p>The cover features mixed-race model and activist Adwoa Aboah. Adwoa Aboah is also of British and Ghanaian descent.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the year, she appeared on the cover of American Vogue with Liu Wen, Ashley Graham, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam, and Vittoria Ceretti.<\/p>\n<p>Edward Enninful as the first black man to take this role is bringing diversity and inclusivity to the forefront.<\/p>\n<p>The cover photo which was styled by Edward himself and photographed by Steven Meisel. The photo shows Adwoa Aboah wearing a Marc Jacobs dress and turban with diamond earrings. Channelling 70s beauty with blue eyeshadow and glossy red lips done by makeup artist Pat McGrath.<\/p>\n<p>Announcing the latest issue, Edward Enninful said:<\/p>\n<p><em>The December 2017 issue is dedicated to Great Britain and the creatives who represent it at home and abroad. Welcome to the #NewVogue. Enjoy!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Adwoa Aboah also shared her joy on the iconic cover saying:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhere do I even begin. Speechless, overwhelmed and grateful.
