Moreover, former Minister of Finance, Dr Kwabena Duffuor announced that the government had set aside \u00a22 million for musicians in the country.<\/p>\n
MUSIGA president, Obour revealed that the \u00a22 million government support was to conduct a comprehensive research into the Ghana music industry.<\/p>\n
Therefore, a lot of industry persons criticized Obour for wasting the money. According to them, the money could have been channelled into other areas of the music industry that badly need support.<\/p>\n
Hammer noted that<\/p>\n
\u201cObour brought some life in there [MUSIGA] in the beginning, then all these controversies started.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Touching on the money, the producer said,<\/p>\n
\u201cpersonally I was totally against what we used the money [\u00a22 million] for.<\/em><\/p>\n
Apparently that is what we asked for the money to do so we can\u2019t do something else. When I found out that Obour actually used that excuse to access the money, I was like we can\u2019t do anything about it, we have to do that.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Hammer rated Obour\u2019s performance 6\/10. He said \u201cthere was so much that could be done,with the \u00a22 million government support.”<\/em><\/p>\n
