Moreover, they want to\u00a0yield some punitive action against those involved.<\/p>\n<h4>Civil suit against Goil<\/h4>\n<p>The survivors of the June 3rd fire\/flood disaster at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle sue GOIL, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and others including then AMA CEO Oko Vanderpuye for gross negligence.<\/p>\n<p>According to the plaintiffs, numbering 69, they have suffered irreparable harm from being injured in the disaster.<\/p>\n<p>Many have suffered severe burns or other serious injuries which has left them unable to work to earn money for themselves.<\/p>\n<p>They are therefore praying the Accra High Court to grant them damages to the tune of Ghc 40m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The June 3rd disaster was 3 years ago.
