Hence, to her picking the award for the second time in succession is a great honor for her.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/05\/adina.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-38775\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/05\/adina-237x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"237\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/05\/adina-237x300.jpg 237w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/05\/adina.jpg 295w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 237px) 100vw, 237px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI was surprised when I won the female vocalist award, not because I didn\u2019t think I deserved it but because of the names of the list,\u201d <\/em>she disclosed.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLast year, I also won the same award. So last year was like \u2018Oh my goodness, really?\u2019. She was the winner of music reality show Stars of the Future in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Adina had her senior high school education at the Wesley Girls High School. She then moved to Central University where she obtained a degree in Environmental and Development Studies. Growing up as a kid she joined the National Theatre Choir where she got to perform at Kidafest and Fun World shows.<\/p>\n<p>She shot to the limelight when she competed in the music reality show \u2018Stars of the Future\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>This show was organised by Charter House Ghana and eventually became the winner.<\/p>\n<p>She is noted for her hit songs \u2018Too Late,\u2019 \u2018Makoma\u2019 and the current \u2018Killing Me Softly.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Adina is currently signed onto New African Movement record label.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ghanaian songstress, Adina,\u00a0says she was surprised to have won the Best Female Vocalist Award at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
