Who doesn\u2019t dream of having gorgeous, luscious lashes? From long and spidery fashionable ones\u2026 to thick and sexy voluptuous ones, you can bat some pretty suckers in no time at all if you take good care of them and not fall victim to committing some must-know mascara errors!<\/p>\n

1. You pump WAY too much.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pumping the mascara wand each time you are ready to apply is not the way to go. Doing this (which most people do) injects air into the tube which inevitably dries out your product more rapidly. A dry mascara will give you a clumpy mess \u2013 not the look you want surely. Instead, take your time to simply twist your mascara wand back and forth or take it into a circular type of motion to get some product onto the wand.<\/p>\n

2. You habitually apply to the top lashes first.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When you apply to the top lashes first, you will usually end up with black dots on the lids and under the eyes as you look down to apply to bottom lashes as a second step; again, a common habit of most beauty fanatics. Start with the lower lashes as you tilt your head forward. Next, look straight ahead as you apply to the upper ones in a zig-zag motion.<\/p>\n

3. You don\u2019t know when to throw it out.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Six months is usually the max for keeping mascara hanging around. Using it for more than that can put you at risk for an eye infection in due time. And for goodness sakes\u2026 don\u2019t share your mascara with ANYONE! This is a simple way to keep your eyes and eyelashes healthy looking at all times.<\/p>\n

4. You neglect to wipe your brush.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Did you know your mascara brush can pick up plenty of bacteria daily? Yep, it\u2019s true. Best way to handle this problem is to gently wipe the brush with a tissue each time before you apply mascara to your lashes. This will also help you to obtain a clump-free application.<\/p>\n

5. You use an eyelash curler after mascara application.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A huge no-no here! Doing this will not only break your precious lashes, it will also yank them out from the roots. Gently curl your delicate eyelashes from root to tip, and please take your time. Once they are curled to perfection you can finally apply your favorite mascara. Don\u2019t rush the process!<\/p>\n

Makeup application takes time and know-how\u2026 but it\u2019s worth it. You can have the most beautiful looking eyes with amazing lashes by not neglecting them and simply giving them some TLC!<\/p>\n
