Afro-pop singer-songwriter\u00a0Noella Wiyaala has revealed that\u00a0the lack of appreciation for her style of music in Ghana pushed her out of the country.<\/p>\n

Nicknamed \u2018The lioness of Africa\u2019, the singer has over the years made few appearances on the local music scene.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, she is more focused on promoting her craft internationally and has thus made a name for herself.<\/p>\n

“I am an untamed lioness, I’m doing my thing and they need to accept that. If they will like to support they should.” She said in an interview on E with Beck on JoyNews.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The ‘Rock My Body’ singer who sings in her native Waala and Sissala dialect as well as in the English language often combines all the languages in her songs.<\/p>\n

According to the Girl band member, when an artiste is not doing what the Ghanaian ‘system’ wants, the artiste gets blacklisted.<\/p>\n

Wiyaala said she is the last person on the minds of event organisers because they do not care about her.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the musician has advised the younger crop of talents to stay true themselves as living a lie will always catch up with them.<\/p>\n
