The sad demise of the true patriot and statesman, Busumuru Kofi Annan occurred on August 1, 2018. This was after a reported short illness.<\/p>\n<p>The body of the former Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), is laid-in-state. Therefore, many Ghanaians made their way to the Accra International Conference Centre. They were there to pay their last respect to late Kofi Atta Annan.<\/p>\n<p>The body is expected to be laid-in-state at the Accra International Conference Center. It is there for the nation to undergo a three-day mourning.<\/p>\n<p>Some heads of departments of institutions, associations, traditional leaders, students, friends and loved ones in the public sphere are paying their last respect to the global icon.<\/p>\n<p>Kofi Annan was one of Ghana\u2019s greatest personalities.
